Dopff Au Moulin Riesling Grand Cru Schoenenbourg
Dopff Au Moulin Riesling Grand Cru Schoenenbourg
The appellation Grand Cru identifies exceptional wines and preserves the living memory of the Alsatian vineyards. As a result of their exceptional geological and climate characteristics, they ensure unique, delicate and complex wines.
The Schoenenbourg Grand Cru is located on one of the most prestigious plots and exposures of Alsace vineyards. This exceptional hillside overlooks Riquewihr from the North and stretches out from West to east at an average altitude of 280 to 380 meters. Its full South exposure, its siliceous and marly soil, its clay-limestone subsoil rich in fertilizing nutriments are serving as the foundation of a Riesling soil par excellence.
The wines of the 2017 vintage are rich and fruity with a great deal of substance together with a great typicity of the grape.
Appearance: beautiful golden robe.
Nose: elegant and expressive with notes of over-ripe yellow fruit evolving into notes of spices (pepper).
Palate: fresh attach, racy and distinguished wne. Great aromatic complexity with notes of candied citrus and pepper. Very long persisting finish with long and fine acidity, with enjoyable and bright salinity.
