Mario Giribaldi Barolo DOCG Ravera Riserva
Mario Giribaldi Barolo DOCG Ravera Riserva
From the celebrated Ravera cru in Novello, this Barolo Riserva expresses the classic authority and finesse of Nebbiolo from the Langhe. Sourced from south-facing vineyards at 350–400 metres on marl-clay soils, the wine is made from a traditional blend of Lampia, Michet, and Rosé clones. Vinified with extended submerged-cap maceration and aged for over four years in French oak before long bottle refinement, it shows a refined, slow-evolving profile.
In the glass, ruby red with brick reflections. The nose reveals balsamic tones, rose petals, and white pepper. The palate is warm and layered, with red fruits, vanilla, gentle spice, and sweet, well-integrated tannins, finishing with notable elegance and balance. Despite a challenging vintage, 2014 delivered Nebbiolo of aromatic clarity and fine structure.
A Barolo Riserva suited for long aging, drinking well from 2023 through 2040. Ideal with game, braised or roasted red meats, or enjoyed on its own as a meditation wine. Serve at 18–20°C.

Exceptional with game, red meats in general, braised and roasted meats. Excellent meditation wine. After a few years of aging, the combination with dark chocolate and cocoa-based desserts is very interesting.
