La Magnolia di Cristina Cozzarolo Friuli Colli Orientali Friulano
La Magnolia di Cristina Cozzarolo Friuli Colli Orientali Friulano
It is one of the great native white grape varieties of Friuli. The grapes are softly pressed after a light maceration on the skins for about 12 hours at 6°C. The resulting must is subjected to cold static decantation. Fermentation takes place at 18°C, and subsequent maturation “sur lies” continues in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with periodic batonnage.
It offers aromas of apple, wildflowers, dried hay, and almonds. Excellent for drinking, it boasts balance and minerality. The long, pleasant finish is warm and enveloping.
