On Thursday, 18 September 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting an intimate evening at Mad Roaster’s Slow Bar in Enabling Village, Singapore. Together with James and Suat, whose warmth and hospitality shaped the cosy setting, we welcomed friends of wine to discover the elegance of Domaine Nadine Ferrand. It was a wonderful turnout, and the atmosphere was filled with curiosity, conversation, and a shared love for French wines.

The tasting took us on a journey through the heart of the Mâconnais and Pouilly-Fuissé, showcasing the artistry and philosophy of Nadine Ferrand’s winemaking. We began with the Viré-Clessé 2023, crisp and floral, before moving to the Mâcon-Charnay-lès-Mâcon 2023, light and harmonious. The Pouilly-Fuissé “Éclat d’Aromatisme” 2023 brought aromatic intensity, followed by the elegance and poise of Cuvée “Lise-Marie” 2023. The evening’s highlight came with Pouilly-Fuissé “Prestige” Premier Cru 2023 — graceful, structured, and deeply expressive of its terroir. To round off the tasting, two classic reds from Bordeaux reminded us of the timeless traditions that complete the story of French winemaking. |
Food, Wine, and Slow Bar’s Touch
Each guest enjoyed a hot main course of their choice, with the options ranging from comforting Beef & Marrow Rice Bowl to fragrant Prawn Bisque Spaghettini, Seafood ‘Al Ajillo’ with lime rice, or the hearty Mushroom Fettuccine. The thoughtful pairings created a perfect balance between wine and cuisine, and the dishes received high compliments for how they elevated the subtleties of each glass. The Slow Bar team brought a homely yet refined spirit to the evening, and we are deeply grateful for their warm hospitality.

What made the evening truly special was seeing guests connect with the Nadine Ferrand philosophy: that Chardonnay should be a pure reflection of its terroir, revealing both elegance and strength. From the lighter expressions of the Mâconnais to the layered complexity of Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Cru, the wines demonstrated why Burgundy remains so inspiring to wine lovers across the world.
