Sips & Bites Meets K-Buffet at Golden Ocean Katong
Following the success of our first Sips & Bites at Mad Roaster Slow Bar, DV Club Events brought the experience to Golden Ocean Katong on 19 March. This time, it was an evening shaped by the comforting flavors of a Korean buffet, paired with a thoughtful selection of wines from Portugal and Italy.
The atmosphere felt vibrant from the very beginning. Conversations flowed naturally, glasses were gently refilled, and each bottle was enjoyed at its own pace. It was the kind of evening where you could simply sit back and enjoy.
Quinta da Raza: Fresh Expressions from Portugal
We began the evening with wines from Quinta da Raza, a producer known for its fresh, mineral-driven style and deep respect for the land. With granite and schist soils, a unique microclimate, and a focus on indigenous grapes like Avesso and Azal, their wines felt full of life. Their commitment to sustainability made each glass feel even more meaningful.

Idi di Marzo: A Story from Abruzzo
As the evening unfolded, we moved into the reds from Idi di Marzo, the flagship project of the Famiglia De Cerchio. Rooted in a century-old winemaking tradition in Villamagna, Abruzzo, each bottle carried a sense of heritage and quiet confidence.

An Evening to Remember
More than anything, what stayed with us was the feeling of the evening. It was warm, relaxed, and quietly special. Guests lingered over their glasses, shared their thoughts, and enjoyed the simple pleasure of being present.
