A Week of Valduero in Singapore
This May, Dunstan Vintner had the pleasure of welcoming Nacho de Luxan Calvo of Bodegas Valduero to Singapore for an exclusive series of tasting events celebrating the elegance, depth, and versatility of Valduero wines.
As the exclusive distributor of Valduero in Singapore, Dunstan Vintner curated three distinct evenings across the city, each designed to showcase the wines in different settings, from refined dining experiences to intimate communal tables and relaxed social tastings.
Over the course of three nights, guests experienced not only the character of Ribera del Duero, but also the warmth, philosophy, and craftsmanship behind every bottle through the presence of Mr. Nacho himself.
The Bodega Dinner
Contemporary Teochew Cuisine Meets Ribera del Duero Elegance
The series began at SHAO 燒 Rangoon, where modern Teochew cuisine met the expressive personality of Valduero wines in a beautifully curated pairing dinner.
Guests were guided through an elegant lineup featuring Blanco Albillo, Finca Azaya, Una Cepa, and the beautifully matured 6 Años, thoughtfully paired against bold and layered contemporary Chinese flavours.
The evening highlighted the remarkable versatility of Valduero wines, from the freshness and finesse of the whites to the depth, structure, and complexity of the reds. Each pairing revealed new dimensions in both the cuisine and the wines, creating an experience that felt refined yet deeply inviting.
More than a wine dinner, it was an exploration of balance, texture, and terroir shared around the table.
The Bodega Table
Shared Dining, Generous Hospitality, and Wines Worth Slowing Down For
The following evening brought guests into the warm and intimate setting of Kuan’s Table for a private dining experience centred around comfort, conversation, and exceptional wines.
Featuring the same bottles, the wines were paired with hearty signature dishes including Olive Rice, Pumpkin Soup, Dates Wrapped with Bacon, Prawn Cakes, and house-made focaccia with sundried tomato spread.

The relaxed communal atmosphere allowed guests to experience another side of Valduero — wines that feel equally at home in intimate, rustic settings where stories are shared freely and every course encourages another glass.
With Mr. Nacho personally presenting the wines throughout the evening, guests gained a deeper appreciation for the philosophy and heritage behind the Valduero label.

The series concluded at Au Mariage with a relaxed and social evening focused on discovery, conversation, and effortless enjoyment.
Guests explored Valduero wines alongside thoughtfully curated bites designed for casual pairing.
Set against the easy rhythm of the evening, the wines became natural conversation starters — expressive, layered, and approachable in different ways throughout the night. Some guests revisited familiar favourites, while others discovered new expressions that left lasting impressions.
The atmosphere captured exactly what great wine experiences should feel like: unhurried, welcoming, and shared among good company.
