Dopff au Moulin at Vinexpo Asia 2025: A Week of Wine, Food & Friendship

We were honoured to host Etienne Arnaud Dopff, the 13th generation of the renowned Alsace winemaking family, during Vinexpo Asia 2025 at Marina Bay Sands from May 27 to 29. His visit was a meaningful moment for us as we continue building our partnership with Dopff au Moulin and proudly introduce their exceptional wines to Singapore and the region.

As the only estate from Alsace at the show, Dopff au Moulin presented a focused and elegant selection of wines at their booth in the French section. We were happy to support Etienne throughout the expo whether by assisting at the stand or introducing potential partners.

Over the three days, we welcomed a steady stream of visitors from local sommeliers and buyers to regional distributors and were especially pleased to connect with potential partners from Thailand, one of the key emerging markets in Southeast Asia.

The week began with a special Japanese & Alsace Wine Dinner on May 26 at Unigoro, where Dopff wines were paired with an exquisite omakase menu. Highlights included A5 Black Wagyu Uchimomo with egg yolk and uni, charcoal-grilled scallops with chili padi, and their signature Uni Hot Pot with lobster and clams. Crémant d’Alsace Cuvée Julien Brut and Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Brand 2019 were crowd favourites, each bringing out a different dimension of the food, elegant, aromatic, and full of finesse.

For those seeking something more casual, we also hosted an Oyster & Pizza Night at Au Mariage. Guests were treated to free-flow oysters and pizzas, along with a glass of their chosen Dopff wine. It was a relaxed and lively evening, with many discovering just how versatile Alsace wines can be.

Beyond the official events, we had the pleasure of introducing Etienne to the diverse food culture of Singapore from Indian curries to Malay satay to spicy mala. His open curiosity and genuine excitement made the experience all the more special. At one point, he described Pinot Blanc as a “chameleon wine” a perfect companion to even the boldest flavours. We couldn’t agree more.

Etienne’s passion, humility, and drive along with the vision shared by Marlene and the rest of the Dopff team are exactly what make this partnership so meaningful. With centuries of heritage behind them and a bright future ahead, Dopff au Moulin is a name we’re proud to represent in Southeast Asia.

Santé to a week of shared stories, great wine, and new beginnings.
