Margaret River is a known lair for Tiger snakes and in the local vernacular ‘Tiger Country’ means a tough and hard terrain. The soils that make the region’s best wines are composed of clay and ironstone pebbles, great for the vine and accommodating for the ‘Tigers’. This is a smooth and weighty wine brimming with ripe, juicy blackberry and cassis notes which are complemented by hints of wet slate, spices and a hint of savoury balsamic.
