It’s that time of the year again. You hear Mariah in every store you come across, you see colorful decorations and lights adorning the streets. Christmas is here and there’s nothing better together than food and wine.

You have places to go, people to see, and shopping to do... And that includes picking out just the right wine for everybody at your table. With family gatherings, friendly get-togethers and intimate dinner dates ahead, we’ve curated the best tasting wines to match your dinner menu. Sip back and relax as we take you along our wine selections for this year’s festivities.

2018 Volcanic Hills Sauvignon Blanc

Starting with a beautiful white wine, introducing our Sauvignon Blanc. Coming from Marlborough, New Zealand, this crisp, refreshing white matches well with salads, white meats, seafood, and spicy foods alike, making it the ideal bottle for potluck style Christmas spreads.

2018 Rocky Road Chardonnay

Serving rich and creamy dishes? Whether it’s a main dish or a dessert, go for a white wine that’s up to the task. While lighter whites might get outshined and overwhelmed, full bodied Chardonnays have enough butteriness to complement velvety flavours. The pink grapefruit, nashi pears and blossom notes of the 2018 Rocky Road offer a zing that cuts through fat and leaves your palate craving for the next bite. Pair it with Mushroom soup, Fettuccine Alfredo or some lemon bars for dessert.

2018 Volcanic Hills Pinot Noir

The Hills are alive with the sound of Pinot! This wine is a fun, food friendly crowd-pleaser. Featuring ripe fruit flavours of red cherries and dark berries with hints of Portobello mushrooms and vanilla oak, this wine is fresh and nice. Whether you're in the mood for a casual dinner or entertaining friends, this Pinot Noir can make any night extra special.

2016 Myattsfield Durif

On the eye, it's a deep, opaque, inky plum colour. It has a very aromatic nose full of blackberries, tobacco and enticing vanilla notes. This full-bodied red is juicy, rich and plummy with integrated tannins. A real dinner staple that pairs excellently with fancy cuts like your Christmas filet mignon.

2016 Hazel’s Vineyard BDX

This Malbec is biodynamically grown and blended with 36% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Petit Verdot, a seductive, complex nose suggesting lavender, sweetened spice, dark cherries and mulberries are complemented by savoury notes of balsamic herbs and mocha. The varied fruit and spice notes marry well with both savoury dishes and sweet treats in any holiday table. This full-bodied, lushly textured wine makes the ideal pairing for honey-glazed ham, tender lamb chops and Christmas fruit cake.

2018 Tyrian Clouds Cabernet Sauvignon

Christmas in a glass. No holiday table is complete without this classic bold red. Vibrant, full-bodied and bursting with red & black berry character, this wine features hints of red apple & subtle cocoa. It's soft tannins will work well with steak and red meats.

2018 Tyrian Clouds Shiraz

Add some spice to your evening, pop the cork on a bottle of Tyrian Clouds and watch this rockstar worthy wine take your taste buds on a ride. Wonderfully aromatic, with rich flavours of dark plums, Middle Eastern spice and pepper, you'll be hard pressed not to taste it again. Matches well with grilled, charred, roasted and barbeque dishes.

2018 Volcanic Hills Rosé

A rosé that transports you from the warmth of your dining table to sunny beaches. Summertime berry fruit aromas on the nose develop into ripe strawberry gelato ice cream smoothness. Drink this while snacking on appetizers, sashimi or a velvety white carrot cake.
